The Quesada 40th Anniversary cigar opens with pronounced notes of earthiness and roasted nuts, accompanied by a subtle sweetness reminiscent of honey or caramel. Light spicy notes, particularly black pepper, also emerge on the palate.
Two-thirds of the way through, the cigar develops a deeper complexity, with the sweet notes giving way to subtle hints of vanilla and dark chocolate. The earthiness remains present, but is now complemented by a touch of coffee and spice, which adds richness.
Finally, spicy and earthier notes come to the fore, whilst the chocolate’s subtle bitterness and a hint of pepper provide a lovely finish to the whole experience. The sweetness recedes into the background, but leaves a delicate aftertaste.
